With the onset of pregnancy you want to protect yourself as much as possible from harmful effects, but on the other hand you want to keep your habitual way of life.
Most often you can hear that when you take a bath you can catch an infection, because water will penetrate to the baby. This is completely wrong, nature took care of the baby and protected it with all possible methods. It’s a mucous plug that covers the cervix, and, of course, amniotic membranes that reliably protect the fetus.
How to take a bath during pregnancy?
Put on the bottom of the bath non-slip mat, and under the head of a special pillow. All these things are sold in stores, and finding them is not difficult. At the same time you will be comfortable in the bathroom for yourself.
The water temperature should not be above 37 degrees, and the intake time is limited to 15-20 minutes. You need to get used to it gradually. Do not flop directly into the tub. It’s better to very slowly and gradually plunge into the water, giving the body time to adapt to the temperature.
Next to the bathroom, put a bucket of cold water. Periodically wash your face and collar zone with cool water. This will allow you to make your stay in the bathroom as comfortable as possible. Drink water while taking a bath.
When leaving the bath do not get up immediately. First, drain the water, and then sit for a few minutes only then get up and go out of the bathroom.
Taking a bath during pregnancy can and should be done. However, the main thing is to take a very responsible approach to the proper organization of this procedure.
